The 23rd International Sol-Gel Conference (Sol-Gel 2026), is taking place now, from 31 August to 4 September 2026 at the IST Congress Centre in Lisbon, Portugal.

The conference brings together international researchers, industry representatives, and emerging professionals to explore advances in sol-gel science, soft chemistry, functional materials, characterization techniques, and applications ranging from coatings and optics to energy, healthcare, and environmental technologies.

As part of the scientific program, Máté Füredi, PhD, Applications Scientist of the Ellipsometry and Application Team, will deliver a 15-minute presentation titled “In-situ and in-operando ellipsometric characterization of sol-gel thin film materials.” His talk will take place on 1^st September 2026, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, during Session 12 in Room 01.1. This contribution highlights the value of ellipsometric analysis for understanding and optimizing sol-gel thin-film materials under real processing and operating conditions.
