Semilab is proud to announce its membership in the INSIDE Industry Association. By joining INSIDE, we reinforce our commitment to advancing Europe’s semiconductor capabilities and contributing to a resilient, innovation-driven electronics ecosystem. Semilab places strong emphasis on close cooperation with customers, industrial partners, and leading European research institutions to jointly address emerging technological challenges.  

Through this new membership, Semilab is ready to deepen its contribution to Europe’s technological progress.  Semilab is an active participant in numerous international R&D collaborations and EU-funded projects, contributing to the advancement of next-generation semiconductor and photovoltaic technologies, including silicon (Si), silicon carbide (SiC), and advanced PV applications. In 2025 alone, our research collaborations resulted in 98 publications, including 27 peer-reviewed scientific articles. 

INSIDE is the European industry association and technology platform focused on advancing Intelligent Digital Systems and their applications across the entire electronics and systems value chain, from semiconductors and components to software and end-use systems. As a membership organization with over 270 companies, research institutes, startups and universities from 28 European and associated countries, INSIDE aims to strengthen Europe’s position in intelligent digital technology by fostering collaboration across the full technology value chain—from semiconductors to software and system applications.  

Through networking, workshops, project support and participation in high-impact initiatives, INSIDE enables members to co-develop cutting-edge technologies, influence research agendas, and contribute to impactful projects spanning sectors such as mobility, healthcare, agrifood and defense. Its dynamic community drives innovation that enhances Europe’s competitiveness in the global digital market, creates strategic research agendas, and mobilizes significant investment in research, patents and prototypes. 

Semiconductor metrology is a cornerstone of advanced chip manufacturing, enabling precision, yield improvement, reliability, and performance at increasingly smaller technology nodes. By engaging in INSIDE’s working groups and collaborative programs, Semilab aims to contribute our expertise in high-precision measurement and process control while participating in next-generation research initiatives that define the future of semiconductor manufacturing. Through this membership, we look forward to building strong partnerships, contributing to forward-looking R&D projects, and supporting Europe’s ambition to build a strong, competitive, and sustainable semiconductor ecosystem.
